1) Suraksha Kavch has been set up at the main entrance:

COVID-19 At the main entrance of the district of Bajaura, Surksha Kavach (safety shield) was set up to detect any potential individual infected with corona coming from outside. Kullu became the first district to install such a shield in the state. Under the security shield, two transparent cabins were created.The police department tracks complete descriptions of individuals going out and returning to the district in one cabin while the health department in the other conducts thermal scanning. A decision to allow individuals to join the district or send them to quarantine centres is made only after knowing the specifics of travel history and thermal screening, whereas individuals entering either from the red zone or from outside states are mandatory sent to institutional quarantine centers.

2) Weekly health checkups of drivers who are delivering essential food items in the district:

Owing to weekly health checks of the drivers of the vehicles used to supply vital food products, the risk of infection in the district has been minimized. In collaboration with Gram Panchayats, Self Help Groups and Non Governmental Organisations, District Administration gives priority to making and distributing masks. Village health, sanitation and disaster management committees have been established in the district.These committees are supporting actions proposed by the state government to avoid COVID-19 infection. People from far-flung rural areas are being made aware of the value of social distancing and hygiene in the local language.

3) P.P.E. kits to sanitation workers and delivery of essentials at the doorstep is another initiative:

The decision to distribute P.P.E. kits to sanitation staff has also been proven helpful in preventing spreading corona infection in the area , in addition to making efforts to keep the streets and market safe.
